FILM FESTIVAL
Rolling Submissions
Protect the Block Film Festival focuses on stories that amplify the rich cultural heritage of sub-cultures, neighborhoods and residents in inner-cities around the globe. PTBFF shines a spotlight on filmmakers who express the value in the neighborhoods and communities that influence their identity.
Our Mission…
PTBFF screens meaningful short films that work to preserve cultural identities and document the stories that shape who we are. These films remind us of the importance of preserving and documenting history through film—because when we share our stories, we connect across boundaries and generations.
We believe that stories exist to pass down survival information—wisdom that helps us navigate life physically, emotionally, spiritually, and culturally. Through storytelling, we learn from the collective wisdom of our communities, ensuring that our traditions and values continue to guide us forward.
